Competitive Advantage Release Construction Market Report on UK Education Sector

"The UK construction market for Education represents 11% of total new build construction output and comprises Early Years, Primary, Secondary, Further and Higher Education. There are differences in the way these are structured between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In addition to state funded Education there is also an independent schools sector. Overall the UK has 28,964 schools, 410 further or higher education colleges and 135 universities.

What happens when there is no global plan?

One of the outcomes of the Paris COP21 conference is that a global agreement on achieving zero emissions needs to happen as ‘soon as possible’ and the need to have a ‘net zero emissions’ during the second half of the century is essential. However, there is no global plan about how this will actually be done, and national policies, including that of the UK, are still to be aligned with these challenging objectives.
