Consumer Engagement

Consumer Confidence

The Zero Carbon Hub Consumer Engagement workstream’s role is to engage with and provide guidance and support to the housing industry to help them deliver marketing and media campaigns that raises awareness of and generate consumer demand for low and zero carbon homes.

 OUR TOP-LINE OBJECTIVES ARE TO:

  • Develop a marketing strategy and plan to help direct and inform the industry on the most effective approaches to encourage potential homebuyers to choose the low and zero carbon new home option.
  • Devise a consumer advice strategy to help direct and inform industry – and associated organisations – on ways of providing compelling and high quality advice and information on low and zero carbon new homes, and related technologies.
  • Use outputs from all the other work streams to increase industry understanding and engagement through media channels. This could mean promoting examples of functioning low/zero carbon homes, or highlighting which and where microgeneration technologies work.

To drive this agenda, we have set up a Consumer Engagement Steering Group, which consists of leading organisations and individuals from across the industry.
