Low Energy Know How East Riding - 13th February

The Zero Carbon Hub, in collaboration with East Riding Council and Saint-Gobain, are pleased to announce their latest Low Energy Know How event in Yorkshire.

This free event is an excellent opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest Zero Carbon homes policy. Join us as we present the most recent information on the Zero Carbon journey and definition as well as the latest on both the Performance Gap project and the cost of meeting the Zero Carbon Standard. We will also be looking to the future with the proposed Allowable Solutions schemes and the importance of retrofitting existing homes and the timeline to 2016.

This event will also provide delegates with the practical knowledge to meet regulations as Saint-Gobain will be presenting information on a number of product solutions designed to meet the Zero Carbon target and a practical demonstration from Stroma of the latest version of SAP using the new Accredited construction details.

Rob Pannell

Rob Pannell is the Managing Director of the Zero Carbon Hub, a role to which he brings a wide range of knowledge regarding sustainability, innovations, technology prototypes, trials and solutions. This knowledge is a crucial asset for both the Hub and government, with Rob working closely with ministers and senior civil servants to advise on zero carbon policy and the 2016 target.

Prior to joining the Zero Carbon Hub, Rob was a senior figure in the construction industry with over 35 years of experience with Taylor Wimpey UK Ltd. where he held a series of senior level roles, most recently as UK Director of Production (construction and design). Within this position Rob investigated and established a cost base and technical compliance of practical renewable energy and building fabric solutions to meet the various UK government policies.
