The Road to Zero Carbon – conference on low and zero carbon buildings

Tuesday June 15th. 9.30am - 4.30pm. Reading Town Hall, Reading.

This conference will showcase some of the best real world low and zero carbon projects, with a strong focus on the steps and measures taken to achieve reductions in CO2 and the impact this has on the construction process.

Delegates will be provided with a unique opportunity to learn from those at the leading edge of compliance with case studies and presentations from leading industry figures.

Speakers include:

  • Chairman - Charlie Luxton, architectural designer and broadcaster 
  • Neil Jefferson, Chief Executive Zero Carbon Hub - latest policy developments for zero carbon buildings
  • Bill Dunster, architect of the UK’s first non-demonstration Code Level 6 homes
  • Rory Bergin, Head of Sustainability and Innovation at HTA, responsible for the design of the Barratt Homes zero carbon development of approx 200 homes at Hanham Hall near Bristol.
  • Stephen Knowles, Associate at Atkins, who’s BREEAM Excellent regional HQ in Bristol, the Hub, has predicted CO2 emissions less than half of the benchmark for offices
  • Vic Ebdon, member of the School’s Zero Carbon Taskforce, from Devon County Council
  • Carmel McQuaid, Climate Change Manager for Marks & Spencer

The cost of the event is £180 plus vat (£211.80 inc vat) which includes lunch and refreshments.
