Mat is a specialist in building performance assessment research and has spent the last 10 years leading large-scale projects that investigate the performance of buildings and their systems.
Working on a freelance basis, Mat is Associate Director for the Zero Carbon Hub and is responsible for the delivery of high profile technical projects for Government, sector based and private organisations. Projects include innovation in supply chain and building whole life performance, developing training materials for SMEs in the construction sector and working with large volume, private house builders on commercial sustainable design approaches.
Prior to joining the Hub, Mat was a Lead Technologist with Innovate UK, responsible for the delivery of the Building Performance Evaluation programme. From 2004 to 2011 Mat worked with the Energy Saving Trust, with his final role being Head of Technology, leading on the their housing and technology field trial activities.
