Further debate required to continue developing a working, effective Allowable Solutions framework

Government has announced key decisions through the Queen’s Speech1 on the future of Allowable Solutions and achieving Zero Carbon new homes from 2016.

The Zero Carbon Hub2 welcomes the confirmation that Allowable Solutions3 will be included within the Zero Carbon definition, and that the Zero Carbon policy for new homes will be implemented from 2016. These confirmations are positive steps which begin to provide the certainty industry is seeking.
